Completion effects

Effects played when a line is finished. Pick several to stack them, or clear all of them to compare against no effect at all.

Burst The whole line snaps outward with a heavy low tone Sweep A line of light runs across the row from left to right Ascend The line flashes white and rises away, and the pitch climbs as you keep going

Volume Overall keystroke volume. 0 is silent 45

Pitch jitter How far the pitch is shifted at random on each keystroke. At 0 every keystroke sounds exactly the same and comes across as mechanical 12

Bass amount How much low end is mixed into the completion sound. The higher it is, the heavier finishing a line lands 70

Particle count Particles scattered by one keystroke. Completing a line emits several times this many at once 8

Particle gravity How readily particles fall. At 0 they scatter without falling, at 100 they spill downward 100

Shake strength How far the screen shakes on a mistype, in pixels. 0 disables the shake 6

Hitstop on a correct key How long motion freezes the instant a key is hit correctly, in milliseconds. The gap between the freeze and the restart is what feels responsive 30

Hitstop on line completion How long motion freezes the instant a line is finished, in milliseconds. The longer it holds, the more the release feels like an explosion 80

Delay before the next line How long to wait after a line is finished before the next command appears, in milliseconds. Longer leaves more afterglow, shorter keeps the rhythm going 0

Values apply only while this page stays open, and a reload restores the defaults. The Ascend effect always waits 150ms before the next line, even when the delay above is 0, so the finished line has time to rise away.
